He is an engineer (with a doctorate in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a B.Tech. from IIT Chennai), a professional Carnatic vocalist (with 33 years of teaching experience), an advanced yogi specializing in Naada Kriya Yoga (synthesized from the teachings of Siddhar Thirumoolar and Mahavatar Babaji), and a Vedic astrologer.
